OMG!!! I just found out that there actually is a National Peanut Festival, gee wilikers it sounds like it would be a swell old time. It is held each fall in honor of the countless men and woman who work hard to grow our peanuts, and of course to celebrate the harvest season of the peanuts. It is held Dothan, Alabama a place where approximately half of the United States peanuts are grown within a hundred mile radius. I wish I could go it sounds like it would be a flippin sweet festival. Some of the festivities include amusement rides, animal acts, live music, agricultural displays, arts & crafts, beauty pageants, food, contests, a 2 hour parade, and not to mention massive amounts of peanuts!!!
